A walk in the forests above Bellagio in search of native truffles and mushrooms.
The day begins at 10am at the Salice Blu Restaurant, where you will enjoy a quick coffee before meeting Chef Luigi at the starting point of the walk. You will also be accompanied by truffle experts and truffle dogs. The walk takes place in forests of hornbeam, chestnut and oak owned by the Gandola family, in a tranquil area with a view over the extraordinary lake.
After the picking, you return to the kitchen where you will learn some techniques for using and preserving the mushrooms and truffles and you will enjoy a well-earned lunch. he experience ends at around 3pm. Also available at other times.
he safety of what is found and collected is the first thing: chef Luigi and his collaborators have obtained the qualification and are in possession of the license of “truffle researcher of the Lombardy Region” and connoisseur of local edible mushrooms. (L.752/1985 – L.R. 31/2008)
